1. Interview Volume
The Interview Volume metric displays the total number of Byteboard interviews that your candidates have taken over time, graphed on a month-to-month basis.
- The monthly numbers reflect finalized interviews within the month, not the number of invites sent. Incomplete interviews do not count toward these totals.
2. Overall Journey With Byteboard
The Overall Journey With Byteboard section give you a snapshot of how Byteboard has been used for your account all-time. This section is broken down into key metrics:
- Avg Candidate Satisfaction — Average rating score on a scale of 1 to 5 given by candidates on an optional survey after completing the interview; the overall average for all candidates.
- Each candidate is sent a post-interview survey and is asked to grade their satisfaction of the Byteboard experience on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most favorable.
- Invites Sent — the number of Byteboard interview invitations sent to candidates
- Onsites — indicates the total number of your Byteboard candidates who have been marked as ‘Onsite’ or ‘TPS + Onsite’ for their Next Steps in the Candidates table.
- Offers — indicates the total number of your candidates who have been marked as ‘Offer Made’, ‘Offer Declined’, or ‘Offer Accepted’ for their Offer Status in the Candidates table.
- Hours Saved — calculated by aggregating the number of pre-onsite and onsite interviews replaced by using Byteboard. We assume all interviews take 60 minutes with a 30-min post interview feedback session. The onsite interviews replaced is calculated by determining how many fewer candidates will be needed to achieve 1 offer (comparing Byteboard’s onsite-to-offer rate with the industry average of 25%). This does not include recruiting time saved!

3. Candidate Distribution
The Candidate Distribution metric displays the distribution of Byteboard candidate performance ratings from all of your Byteboard candidates.
- The graph depicts the total number of finalized candidates overall by top-level rating as well as the percentage of each rating against the total.

If over time your candidate distribution is showing an unusually high proportion of Strong or Poor ratings, reach out to the Byteboard team and we’ll work together with you to determine if a recalibration of your account’s interview grading rubrics may better suit your hiring needs and success metrics! Depending on your goals and process, a high number of Leaning Strong or Needs Improvement candidates may also be a good indication that a re-calibration is needed.
4. Byteboard Benchmark Report
The Byteboard Benchmark Report gives you a snapshot of benchmark metrics companies using Byteboard are seeing on average.
- Avg Onsite-Offer Rate — Byteboard customers on average see an average onsite-to-offer rate of 49% compared to the industry average of 25%
- This represents the percentages of candidates who receive an offer after being invited to take an onsite interview, typically the final interview round(s) before the offer stage
- Average Onsite Hours Saved Per Hire — This metric represents the number of engineering hours saved because of the increased onsite-to-offer rate achieved from using Byteboard.
- i.e., (the number of on-sites needed at the industry average rate of 25% onsite-to-offer minus the actual number of on-sites) multiplied by 4 hours per onsite
